The
EB110 Supersport (called Sport Stradale in some Bugatti
adverts) is the more radical version of the EB110: lightening of
the total weight, 610 bhp engine and ultra sporting definition of
the rolling trains. Exterior details are specific to the
Supersport version : fixed air wing (inclination manually adjustable),
5 lateral air inlet holes instead of the lateral window (first prototypes
with 7 holes), Type 55's style rims, brake cooling aeration located
behind front wheels, more agressive front bumper with an aerodynamic
blade its the basis. The interior is lightened too with a simplified
transmission tunnel and doors, 2 Recaro seats, manual windows, no glove box...etc.
The EB110 SS production period was short (due to a long set
up time and the closure of the factory) from the late 1993 to the mid 1995
years. It seems the subcontractors embargo blocked the assembly line during a period, especially for US specs models. Even today, it is very difficult to know the real number of SS produced by the factory because many cars were still on the assembly line when the bankruptcy occured. The SS number should be around 30 models (unofficially 31, 33 listed
in the registry). |
